IFA's History

After having officially been recognized by the sub-decree of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) in August 2012, the Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA) has become the leading and most comprehensive institute among the institute and universities in nation. With its strategic framework created in 2012, IFA has featured a vision to be a model private institute in 21st century, serving as resource to the public and working to improve the qualities of life nationally and regionally.

The Institute of Finance and Accounting is a knowledge-oriented center for discovery, learning and engagement by comfortably opening any form of access to Cambodian citizens from every background; creating and sharing knowledge, exploring curiosities, and empowering decision-making. Because of the rigorously and supportively learning-based environment, IFA is able to foster open an constructive dialogue, promote analytical-based learning, generate critical thinking skills, while preparing current and future students to live satisfying, useful and ethical lives.

The Institute of Finance and Accounting’s board, faculty members, and academic staff and students are expected to identify and address many of the most urgent and complex problems in learning and research. A collection of lab-rooms, classrooms, and other instructional and research facilities ranging in age, size, complexity and technology support this educational and research mission.    

With specializing in majors of Finance, Banking and Accounting, the Institute of Finance and Accounting is a private institute that provides a range of degrees including Associate, Bachelor, and Master Degree. Currently, IFA operates four colleges and many short courses: the College of Arts, Humanities and Languages, the College of Finance and Accounting, the College of Law, and the College of Information Technology (IT). Having started from 2013, IFA has officially and successfully opened many short courses in relation with Tax Declaration, Finance Analysis, Cambodia Taxation, Cambodia Business Law, and other Accounting Programs.

In order to strengthen and broaden its capacity to meet socioeconomic, educational and labor environment, the Institute of Finance and Accounting has continuously cooperated with several local, regional and international institute partners. IFA is located in Phnom Penh, along city road number 271 and near Steang Meanchey Bridge. With a big building, this strategic location shall make it easier for students living in Phnom Penh, and mainly surrounding areas, to be able to conveniently access higher education program.

To seamlessly support and take part with the Royal Government of Cambodia in reducing poverty, and promoting educational and socio-economic environment in Cambodia, the Institute of Finance and Accounting has offered a considerably affordable and reasonable tuition fee to students who want to study and continue their study at IFA.
